Find a real estate professional that knows about the area. – I work solely as a buyer agent and focus my attention on getting my clients their best property at the best price. It is important that your agent is representing you.

Analyze your needs in a consultation. – This is the step where we get to know each other, establish our working relationship and we learn what it is that is important to you in your new property.

Obtain financial pre-qualification and pre-approval. – Speak with a financial institution (or a few) and determine where you can find the best loan and what you can comfortably afford.

Select properties of interest. – This is the fun part. We look at property information and tour properties that potentially interest you which we narrow down to your ideal property.

Identify a property or properties in which you have serious interest.

Review similar properties that have recently sold. – This is to get a good idea of what things are selling for in that neighborhood.

Write an Offer to Purchase. – Have in mind where you are willing to give and take and discuss this with your chosen agent.

Negotiate and counter offer. –My job at this point is to advise you on how to negotiate the best possible contract.

Make a contract on property.

Work through contingencies, if applicable. – Contingencies usually include: final mortgage approval and all inspections. Your agent will have a list of trusted professionals and will mediate all of these contingencies.

Close on property.

Take possession of the property. – Enjoy! You have made your dream a reality.
